Terms of Service (MVP)
Effective date: 2026-04-21
This is a real but lightweight Terms of Service designed for beta user testing. Have a lawyer review before broader rollout.
1. Overview
This is an experimental learning platform designed to help users practice and improve knowledge through adaptive questions, video recommendations, and progress tracking.
By using this service, you agree to these Terms.
2. Beta Service
This product is in active development and provided as a beta system.
- Features may change or break without notice
- Accuracy of recommendations, scoring, or feedback is not guaranteed
- The service may be interrupted or shut down at any time
3. Educational Use Only
This system is designed for educational practice and self-improvement. It is not:
- Accredited instruction
- A substitute for formal education
- A guarantee of learning outcomes
4. User Accounts
If accounts are used:
- You are responsible for activity under your account
- You must provide accurate information where required
- We may restrict or remove access at any time
5. Data and Content
You retain rights to your input (answers, responses, interactions), but you grant us permission to:
- Store it
- Process it
- Analyze it for learning and system improvement
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the system
- Interfere with system operation
- Use the system for illegal purposes
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from use of the system
- This includes educational outcomes, decisions made based on outputs, or data loss
8. Account Termination and Deletion
You can stop using the service at any time. You can also delete your account yourself from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account permanently.
Account deletion is irreversible: your name, email, username, OAuth identifiers, and saved-concept lists are permanently removed, and we are unable to restore or export your account afterward. Some learning records (your answers, criterion-level grading evidence, and any feedback or ratings you submitted) may be retained in an irreversibly de-identified form for measurement and content-quality research. See the Privacy Policy §6 for the full breakdown, the 30-day backup window, and the residual-risk disclosure.
We may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or threaten the integrity of the service.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use implies acceptance of updates.
